War on chocolate (or anything) is futile.

Whenever you focus on something you give it your energy.

For instance, you want to give up eating so much chocolate. If I said to you “don’t think about chocolate” what’s the first thing that pops into your head? Chocolate, of course! So if you spend your day declaring ‘war’ on chocolate by thinking “don’t eat chocolate“, “don’t eat chocolate“, chocolate becomes the focal point of your entire existence.

All you will see in your life is chocolate and be reminded of the grief that it causes you. Even though you want it out of your life, you are now more energetically attracted to it and will show up everywhere. You start feeling more and more frustrated and the negative energy surrounding this problem grows.

It’s all about how you feel. 😉

Feelings are our guidance system to letting us know whether we are on the right path in our life. We humans are only motivated to do things because we think we will feel better by doing or having that thing we want. When it comes to problem solving, we think that we will feel better if we make others conform with our way of thinking. We also think we will feel better if we simply removed that problematic thing/person from our point of focus.

You can physically remove someone or something from your presence, but you can’t energetically remove them unless you change your way of thinking.

Whether we are declaring war on drugs, crime, terror, our in-laws or chocolate it’s all the same.

Solution: instead of focussing on the problem, in this case chocolate, focus instead on the solution eg. alternative sweet treat that makes me feel good. Yes, they do exist. Solutions in life … and feel good alternatives to chocolate. Sometimes we find this difficult to do, and we can’t figure out why that is as we revert back to our old way of thinking so easily.
